Ryan Carriere, a very talented Toronto comic book artist was killed Monday night near where we live. He was a dear friend of Mathew's friend Jennifer and of another friend and an employee of my brother, Michael Pinneault.
I remember reading one of his first published pieces in a compilation comic book my brother published called Hogtown.

It is so God damned tragic that he was killed that way, by a truck while cycling home to have Halloween with his wife and two small children. His drawings are so beautiful and delicate. He had awesome respect for nature and captured each of it's elements beautifully. He will be sadly missed.
