Enoki

Covered in light fuzz,
Cuddled together
on your black cutting board.

Worms
from a dark forest
Made beautiful
There.

Fall
----

Crates of
Fresh red apples,

Your footsteps
That once fell
Fast and hard
alongside

Now lost.


Poem for Shoes
------------

I bought new shoes.
To carry me through this.

The pinch and
wobble
matter little

As I am
expert
at falling.
